Designed for selected PULSAtron PTC-series wet ends, the Pulsafeeder J40179 combines an FPP housing, PTFE valve seat and ceramic check ball in a threaded foot valve and strainer assembly.
Compatible PTC-Series Configurations
Published compatibility information identifies PTC2, PTC4 and PTCG wet ends. This makes J40179 a specific replacement option rather than a universal chemical pump foot valve.

PTFE Seating and Chemical Service
The PTFE seat is a defining feature of this assembly. It should not be confused with J40187, which uses a Viton seat despite having a similar threaded connection and ceramic check ball.
Supporting Suction-Line Performance
The foot valve helps limit reverse flow in the chemical suction line. Its strainer also helps keep larger particles from entering the metering pump inlet, where debris may affect check-valve seating.
Installation and Inspection
Verify the 1/4-inch NPT connection and original wet-end designation. Inspect the inlet strainer periodically, especially when the chemical solution contains deposits or suspended material.
