PULSAtron J60716 Foot Valve & Strainer Assembly
PULSAtron J60716 foot valve and strainer assembly with PVDF body, PTFE sealing, ceramic check ball, ceramic weight and 3/8-inch OD tubing connection.
The PULSAtron J60716 is a foot valve and strainer assembly designed for compatible PULSAtron chemical metering pump suction systems. Installed at the end of the suction tubing, the assembly helps maintain pump prime while filtering debris before chemical enters the pump.
The J60716 features a PVDF body, PTFE/TFE valve-seat material, a ceramic check ball and an included ceramic weight. It is designed for 3/8-inch OD tubing and is documented for several compatible PULSAtron wet-end configurations.

Foot Valve Function
The foot valve provides one-way check-valve operation at the end of the suction line. During the suction stroke, chemical flows through the valve toward the pump. When the pump stops or changes stroke direction, the check ball helps prevent chemical from draining backward into the supply tank.
This helps keep the suction line filled and supports faster, more reliable pump priming.
Strainer Function
The integrated strainer helps prevent larger debris and particles from entering the suction tubing. Filtering contaminants before they reach the pump helps protect valve components and supports consistent liquid-end performance.
PVDF, PTFE and Ceramic Construction
The J60716 combines a PVDF body with a PTFE/TFE valve seat and ceramic check ball. A ceramic weight helps keep the suction assembly positioned vertically near the bottom of the chemical supply tank.

Installation & Maintenance
The foot valve should be installed vertically near the bottom of the chemical supply tank. Proper vertical positioning allows the ceramic check ball to operate correctly while the ceramic weight helps keep the suction tubing in position.
Inspect the strainer periodically for deposits or blockage and make sure the check ball moves freely. Keeping the J60716 clean helps maintain reliable suction and consistent chemical metering.
